Manuel de Falla, “La Vida Breve”

Today A.D. libitum guitar duo recorded music of Manuel de Falla.

Great and really faithful and respectful arrangement of this famous piece. Respect to Angelito! Important contribution to classical guitar duo repertoire.

This Spanish Dance is included in one of Manuel de Falla’s operas, “La Vida Breve” (first released in 1913). The dance is played entirely by the orchestra and has been arranged for several musical ensembles.

The opera’s plot takes place in Granada (Spain), in the beginnings of the XXth Century.

Arranger’s words:

“I believe that an arrangement not only has to please the arranger, but also the composer. That is why I decided to arrange this piece being faithful and respectful to what Manuel de Falla wrote for the orchestra, considering the appropriate musical choices for the guitar.

Making a good arrangement is, for me, taking into account the original piece as much as you can, and making out of it a guitaristically interesting piece.”
