Couple of weeks ago I received an invitation to introduce my recent piece “(Woke Up) In the Dream”, written for English horn and guitar, during workshops of the Tallinn Guitar Festival 2018.

I will play a recording by the duo Telluur, talk about the music, writing process and the concept.

When I write music, I keep in mind at least three purposes (I would like music to serve):

 
1. To be educational (that it would contain information about a distant places and
cultures; connected to history)
2. That it would have something, that one can think of and discuss, as well as
3. Purely for aesthetical pleasure while listening to it (relaxing, dancing, doing sports, reading, meditating, wondering).
